Welcome
It is our pleasure to welcome you to the website of the XII. European Regional Congress of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law (ISLSSL) which is going to be held for the first time in Prague, Czech Republic in September 2017.
Labour law and social security law remain exciting, challenging and fast moving areas of legal scholarship and practice. Therefore, the ISLSSL XII. European Regional Congress promises to be an important, inspiring and collaborative event. The main topic of the Congress will be the Current Challenges in Labour Law and Social Security Law (detailed program of the congress can be found HERE).
The Congress will be held under the auspices of the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Mr. Milan Štěch and the Charles University Rector Prof. MUDr. Tomáš Zima, DrSc., MBA, in most beautiful buildings in the centre of historic and magical city of Prague (information about venues can be found HERE).

Average temperature in Prague is around 18°C during the day / 9°C during night in the last decade of September.
Language
The official language in the Czech Republic is Czech, one of West Slavic languages. However, the conference languages will be English, French and Spanish. Interpretation will be offered in all plenary sessions. It will be also offered in all sessions held in Collegium Maxium, the rest of the sessions will be in English without interpretation.
Safety
Czech Republic is one of the safest countries in the world. In the prestigious survey Global Peace Index 2016, the Czech Republic was declared to be the 6th safest country in the world.
